Been messing with my sticks for a few weeks now. So far very impressed. They hook very good on the tree. After undoing the rope the sticks still stay attached to the tree. Extremely light, 4 17” stick with aider, clamps, gear strap, and tree rope weight in at 3.79lbs. By my research that’s truly the lightest double step climbing stick out there. Highly recommend!
Great stick! Super light!
For years I have tried many different climbing sticks for saddle hunting, and always kept designing and imagining the ultimate stick for my style of hunting. With the intention of one day making one DIY style. Well CatTrax beat me to it, lol! Couldn't be happier! These things are so light and I can tell they have the strength and rigidity to last a lifetime, and they even threw in the attachment rope for free, which I didn't expect and really appreciate. I make my own aiders out of Amsteel and will be using three sticks with 2 step aiders and a ring of steps that also have an aider attached to two of the steps. this should get my feet at about 18 to 20 feet off the ground. Perfect!

Con, pretty noisy if bumped together so will probably need to stealth strip or hockey tape them or practice climbing a bunch before season. There's a little side to side moment in the steps when shift your weight from one foot to the other. However this is normal according to the unboxing video.
First impression was no way something this light was going to be solid and stable on the tree. So I immediately took 2 sticks and went to hang some trail cameras and that’s where I realized that I was mistaken. These things are amazing, they were solid as a rock and bit into the various sized trees amazingly. I couldn’t be happier with how they performed and would highly recommend them to anyone. They pack up neatly and easily are quiet and will be perfect for those long walks to on public land. The only problem I had was I kept reaching back and checking my backpack to make sure they were still there because they were so light I couldn’t tell!! Amazing stick and I’ll be ordering a couple more soon!!
